This twelve month series measures 64" x 72" with borders. 4" pieced blocks. Winnie designs beautiful scrappy quilts, and this one is no exception. No paper piecing; these pieces are cut using your ruler and rotary cutter. The 8 blocks each month consist of 4 block designs and shading variations of each, thus creating a fun brain-teasing puzzle when the blocks are set at the end of the series. Even when the same blocks are set side by side they are hard to identify so it will be a challenge to find the pairs, but you wil know the key to the puzzle. Additional blocks may be added if you chose to copy the drawing and design your own block with different shading. The last month will include instructions for 9 blocks plus setting instructions using quarter-square triangle connector blocks. Because the pieces are small, the small rotary cutter and a small ruler are recommended. The Shop Guide is available for $45 and includes cutting charts for 20 kits along with a complete set of nonreproducible patterns to make a shop sample.
